FOUNDING PRESIDENT
Mark is an internationally recognized leader in engineering education and higher education innovation. As a founding faculty member and later Dean of Faculty and Provost at Olin College, he helped build one of the most influential undergraduate engineering institutions in the United States, known for its hands-on, project- based, student-centered model.
Across his career, Mark has led curriculum design, faculty development, and institutional strategy for new programs and startup institutions in the U.S. and internationally. His experience mitigates the core academic risks facing new colleges: educational rigor, faculty excellence, curricular coherence, and long-term legitimacy.
Mark holds a PhD from MIT, is a Rhodes Scholar, and has been recognized as a Princeton Review Top 300 Professor.
